Fawley started the game in high spirits knowing that it would be a tough game due to there previous encounter. In the first half most of the game was played in Fawleys half of the pitch with paxtons strong forwards pilling on the pressure to the Fawley pack. But Fawley held there own in some good defence and strong running by the backs. Paxton were still pilling on the pressure with the Fawley forwards still struggling to win good ball for the back line
In the seconded half Fawley managed to keep up the pace. With Lee Haisman putting Fawley to a 3-0 lead. Then came the first try witch immerged from some excellent scumerging and strong running by winger Wayne Cleary put Fawley in a good 8-0 lead.
But Fawley stepped of the gas a few times witch allowed Paxton to come close to scoring. Paxton managed to score a penalty kick witch put the pressure on Fawley.
In the last minutes of the game the Paxton skipper scored a well disserved try making it 8-8. With the last kick of the game the unlucky Paxton kicker just missed by clipping the right post with that the whistle went. Credit to both teams who played some good rugby. Captain of the day was bud mcgrane
